Coffs Harbour's Primary Health Network Clinical Council

Dr Kate is helping to put the mouth back into health.

One of the things we strive to do as dentists is to put the mouth back into health. At some point in time, the mouth became a foreign area, and the sole domain of the dentist. But if you think about it, this makes no sense at all. The mouth is very much a part of the rest of the body, and we now know that our dental health impacts our general health. Dental problems have been linked to other serious general health concerns such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and pregnancy issues. This means that no longer can we afford to think of the mouth as separate to the rest of the body. Keeping it Local It is an honour to serve as the dental delegate on the Clinical Council in our region among a very inspiring group of individuals who care immensely about their individual patients and our community as a whole. I look forward to what we can achieve together in the coming months and years.

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success. “ ~ Henry Ford.
